By far the most requested shower project is turning a tub nobody uses into a large, easy-to-enter walk-in shower. It opens the room up, is far safer to step into, and is dramatically easier to clean. We remove the old tub, reframe and re-plumb as needed, waterproof the new space correctly, and finish it in tile or a low-maintenance panel system. We install a proper waterproof membrane on the walls and pan, slope the base correctly to the drain, seal every niche and corner, and make sure the bathroom is vented with a fan to the outside. Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own - what is behind them is what protects your home.
Custom tile offers the most design freedom and a high-end look but needs proper waterproofing and grout care. Acrylic and solid-surface panel systems install faster, have few or no grout lines, and are very easy to clean. We carry all three and help you weigh looks, maintenance and budget.
