Restaurant & Food Service Flooring

A restaurant floor has three jobs at once: keep your staff on their feet, satisfy the health inspector, and not put you out of business while it is being installed. We do the whole building — the kitchen, the dining room and the entry — and each of those wants a different floor.

Three Rooms, Three Floors

Back of houseGrease, hot water, dropped pans, twelve-hour shifts. This is where Protect-All earns its money — seamless, certified high-traction, and solid all the way through.
Dining roomThis one is a design decision as much as a durability one. Wood-look LVT, porcelain tile and commercial carpet tile all work; what matters is the traffic pattern, the noise and how it is cleaned at close.
Entry & service corridorsWhere the water comes in on wet days and where most slip claims start. Entry matting and traction ratings belong in the plan, not as an afterthought.
The number that should decide your kitchen floor is not the square-foot price. It is what a closed kitchen costs you per day, multiplied by how often the floor has to be redone. That is the arithmetic that moves an owner from a coating to a solid floor.

What Owners Actually Ask Us

How long am I closed?
Usually less than you fear. Most kitchens can be phased in sections or done across a scheduled closure, and we work evenings and weekends. We will give you the schedule before you commit, not after.
Can you work around equipment I cannot move?
Yes, and we would rather see it in place at the measure so the plan is real. Tell us what is bolted down, what is on casters and what is on a lease.
Will it pass inspection?
Tell us who inspects you and what they pulled you up on last time. Seamless surfaces, coved edges and a certified traction rating are what usually settle it.
Do you do the dining room too?
Yes — and doing both at once is normally cheaper and faster than two separate projects, because it is one mobilisation and one schedule.

Why an Owner Should Care Who Does It

A commercial kitchen is a plumbing and electrical job as much as a flooring one — floor sinks, trench drains, hard-wired equipment, and heights that have to be right before anything is laid.

Our owner holds a plumbing licence, an electrical licence and a general contractor’s licence, and has been working in kitchens for nearly fifty years. On most kitchen jobs those are three separate companies pointing at each other. Here it is one, and it is the reason we can tell you on day one what is behind the wall and how long you will actually be closed.

Most of our kitchen work has been institutional and franchise — university dining, national quick-service locations on Mississippi campuses, a landmark Mississippi restaurant, and nursing home kitchens. Those clients do not pick on price alone. They pick somebody who will not shut them down for a fortnight.

One Company, Not Four

We are a flooring showroom, a remodeling company and a roofing company under one roof, which for a restaurant owner means the floor, the bathroom refit, the front entry and the roof over it are one phone call and one accountability. If something goes wrong there is nobody to point at but us.
